What is a Shingle Siding ?

I am looking at a house and it says that its siding is ‘Shingle Siding’ ; doues that mean it is an asbestos siding or could it mean that its vinyl? Thanks

Shingle siding could be asbestos, wood (cedar), or cementitious (i.e., a product similar to the James Hardie line of siding).
