Free Asbestos Signs

We are buying an older house that was recently renovated (signed P&S) that contains asbestos insulation?
on the piping in the basement. Our home inspector said it was well intact (not friable) and should not pose a problem unless disturbed. Of course I am a little scared knowing it exists. I understand asbestos is very common in older homes though. I would like to have a professional come take a look to better assess it. Does anyone know if abatement companies look at it for free or does it cost money? I live in MA. Also, how much would it be to encapsulate a few pipes?
Thanks, do you have a rough estimate on what it would cost to encapsulate about 30 feet of piping? Is there a do it yourself solution?
You would have to pay to get an abatement company to look at it. Your inspector is right. As long as it is not falling apart and creating airborne asbestos dust, then it is perfectly safe.
