Asbestos Fencing

renting…. who is responsible for damaged asbestos removal?
If a asbestos dividing fence has damage .
Who is responsible to fix it.
And can they claim money for an entire new fence because you cant replace the asbestos panels.
And should we not have been informed when we moved in 2 weeks ago that the fencing was asbestos?
Any fence in the US made out of asbetos would be over 40 years old. I have never heard of a fence made from it. It would have cost a fortune in its time.
The removal would be the landlord, but I am really not sure about the other. Having never seen a fence I have no idea the life expectancy. Normally the landlord would have to foot that bill.
If you had known the building material you would not have damaged the fence? Fences are usually hard to damage, as you really never have contact with them.
