Painting Asbestos Pipes

painting asbestos pipes
When did they stop using lead (paint+pipes) and asbestos in houses?

I’d like to know the year. Wanna buy a house. Also, is there a way of getting rid of that crap?

I believe lead based paints were done away with back in the early 50’s and asbestos was banned back in the late 60’s.
I bought a house with asbestos rap on the furnace pipes, but it was intact. (No rips/holes). And had the owners remove it by a pro.
If you are looking to buy a house and it has asbestos, you can request the selling to have it removed by a professional abatement contractor (only way to have it done)
Lead based paint is another story. Can’t be removed unless you remove the area’s that have the paint on it. Painting over it with an enamel paint will seal it off from human contact.

Based upon the little info you have posted I would have to say Obama. All you listed for McCain is his medal count and the fact he was a PoW. I guess we should change the requirements for becoming president to you MUST have been in the military and you MUST have been a PoW. Your right it doesn’t take a rocket scientist based upon the few facts you have listed.
