I had a choice last week: Go to the Westport Public Library to see The End of an Era — a new film documenting life here in the 1950s — or attend the Board of Finance restoration hearings, an old show that is revived every year around this time.

It is a form of cancer. cause could be asbestos.

You clearly are for McCain. Anyone could spin their biographies to emphasize and deemphasize the candidates. Not very compelling. If I had to choose the lesser of two evils, Obama. But first I would (if he was still running) choose Kucinich.

I would imagine a single, relatively short exposure to asbestos shouldn’t put you at high risk. My father was an electrician at a steel mill for 40 years with long term , unprotected exposure to asbestos and other contaminants. He developed Mesothelioma and pulmonary fibrosis which eventually contributed to his early death (60 yrs old). He was also a heavy smoker. Don’t freak out about it, but you should monitor your exposure and protect yourself whenever you can. Not smoking helps too.
