How accurate is a diagnosis from a CT scan?

My husband has benn diagnosed with asbestosis and emphysema, though he has never smoked and had only a short contact with asbestos 40 years ago. He is 82years old.

No test in medicine is 100% but it would be more likely to miss something than incorrectly detect something.
