How much does it cost to remove asbestos cladding? Alternatively, can you paint/reclad over it? THANKS?

We are looking at buying a three bedroom house. which is clad in fibro cement (asbestos). We are wondering how much it would be to remove and dispose of the cladding. Alternatively, can you paint/reclad over asbestos fibro? THANKS

You can paint over it. No need to remove it, unless you are going to install new siding. Don’t do any sanding or scraping without a resperator. It costs a lot to remove it. Have to get a permit and have only licensed persons do it.
