How dangerous is it for home owners?
We had to have asbestos siding removed due to its condition. The house was built in 1950. It’s condition wasn’t good and it began falling apart. A family owned company came in and removed the asbestos siding and the roof. I wasn’t here when this was happening but I read online how dangerous it is. Is it dangerous after it is removed? My parents said they were very professional about it and put it in a sealed bin that was taken by another company and disposed of properly. However, since it is all outside then how dangerous is it? Doesn’t wind, snow, rain, and other forms of weather get it out of the air if it did become airborne? Any suggestions?
It is a problem, but not for you. It is gone now. If you were there and not protected, then it could have been a problem( in 10 0r more years). Quit the worries, and listen to the folks you hired to remove the asbestos. The hazardous material is gone and disposed of legally.
