Asbestos Tile Testing

Does my vinyl tile floor have asbestos?
My home was bulit in 1980. From what I know I’m the 3rd owner. I want to replace the 12″x12″ vinyl tiles in the laundry room. The tiles are worn and damaged, so I am unable to lay new tile on top of existing tile floor. What is the possibility that the existing tiles contain asbestos? Supposedly homes built after 1980 don’t have too worry about this, but with my home having been built in 1980, I not sure I want to test my luck.
Chances are very low (almost nil) that they don t contain asbestos. The time frame and the size are a excellent indicator that they dont.
Most all your VCT (vinyl composition tile) that contained asbestos was in the 9×9 size also.
