Is it normal a Structural Surveyor doesn’t look for Asbestos ?

I am buying a house and realize the surveyor wouldn’t look for asbestos, is it normal for a structural survey ? Thanks

structural surveys only report on the structural integrity of the house. Will it stand up, and is it structurally sound.
Specialties such as mold, asbestos, radon testing will need to be done by companies that specialize in these areas.
