Asbestos Germany
was asbestos used in WW2?
i just saw this “banned” looney toons cartoon, and it had daffy duck in germany during WW2 and he was “messing” around with the general ( i think he is a general ) and he pulls down a curtain that has -ASBESTOS- written on it. and it confused me to what it meant. any ideas?

Asbestos was everywhere in the 1940’s era ,it was the best insolation and fireproofing available (really excellent working material,aside from the health risks).and they used it in everything early plastics,fiberglass,sound proofing, heat wrapping/sheilding,and anything that needed a heat/fire barrier including paint and clothing.
