Asbestos Environmental Impact

asbestos environmental impact
Parents, on a scale of 1-5, how much has the research in the following fields impacted your decisions?

when it comes to the parental choices that you make on behalf of your children? 1 being not at all, 3 being moderately, 5 being extreme/always….

Foods (dyes, preservatives, etc)…. do you avoid them altogether, or tend to limit them ?

the food pyramid ( 5 servings of fresh fruits and veggies a day, increase fiber, avoiding unnecessary fats and calories, etc)

additives in food,( such as growth hormones, or pesticides on produce, etc.)

environmental (such as weather conditions like red flag advisories, asbestos warnings, lead-based paints in housing and toys, and harsh detergents and chemicals)

and for parents who smoke, do you smoke away from your children, or around them ?

Thank you in advance for your answers… I am trying to establish a premise for a follow-up question, so your answers to this question are appreciated.

1) I limit them based on experience first then research that backed up my claims. So maybe a 3.5.

2)The food Pyramid… hmm.. maybe a 1? I’m a vegetarian and I keep my house heavily stocked with fruits and veggies and whole grain foods. Even tho my kids eat meat.. loading up on healthy foods is natural in our home. so I don’t feel the need to keep track.

3)additives in food.. maybe a 2. Once again.. we eat a lot of fresh food.. I wash it. The chicken they eat is probably loaded with hormones but I can’t keep track of everything. I have a hard enough reading labels as it is.

4) about a 4. I watch out for all those things listed.

5) I am a closet smoker.. I don’t smoke around my children but they do know I smoke.
