Asbestos Containing Materials

There is asbestos at work, can I sue?
Just found out that all the floors and ceilings at work contain asbestos. In 3 weeks they are going to gut the whole place and redo it. We had people come in about 6 months ago and check for hazardous materials. They told me it was only on the outside of the building so no worries. Can I sue?
Wondering if I can sue because they lied to me for months
I’m not sick yet but who knows what the future will bring, I been working here almost 3 years.
A large amount of floor tiles are cracked and pieces are missing, ceiling tiles same way
What are you going to sue for? How have you been harmed? Asbestos in floor and ceiling tiles is not a health hazard. The hazard will be created during the demolition when there is dust formed from the asbestos not now while it is intact.

Of course you’re at risk, that’s the reason for the waivers. Lead paint and asbestos are relatively safe if left undisturbed. But a child may chew on a painted surface and expose themselves to the lead. Or you may disturb the asbestos insulation and expose yourself that way. Personally, I don’t like the risks. Find something safer!
