Asbestos Concrete Roof Tiles
Changing my roof out and have no idea what kind of tiles to pick out?
What kind of roof is good in Texas? Lots of heat and hardly any snow. Also, they are tearing my asbestos roof off. Is that dangerous? How long before it’s safe to come back into the house? They said to be gone for only a morning but are they telling me right? And what kind of tiles should I choose? The insurance company suggested concrete but the roofers said they don’t like concrete. Who’s right? Thanks!
As far as the roofers not liking the concrete choice is probably because of the additional, harder labor involved installing them. They should compensate this factor in the bid. As far as the asbestos is concerned, what I do with the the homes that have hazardous airborne materials involved is to run the heat/air conditioner “FAN” only while the work is in progress. When the work is completed, I simply would change-out the filter with a brand new one. It really made a big difference in not only the air cleanliness, but the over-all dust settling throughout the home……………….
